All Rare Earth Hardwoods products are made from wood harvested under 3D Forestry Initiative (3DFI) guidelines. The ethos of the 3DFI is that all the wood is harvested from Dying, Dead or Down timber resources( both domestically and internationally), including salvage from commercial logging, reclaimed old growth, and urban reclaim.
The wood is harvested with as little impact on the surrounding eco-systems as possible, using on-site (saw)milling where possible.
This practice lessens the damage caused by massive log extraction equipment. All harvesting is done in full accordance with
applicable regulatory compliance structures.
