Rare Earth Hardwoods can mill nearly any species in our Brazilian hardwood catalog into flooring — so instead of choosing from a short, fixed list, you choose the color and figure that fits the room, at a hardness most domestic flooring simply can't match.
Because flooring is a milling profile, not a fixed product, our full species catalog is in play — the reddish-brown warmth of Massaranduba and Jatobá (sold in the U.S. flooring trade as “Brazilian Cherry”), the bold tiger-stripe figure of Muiracatiara, the dramatic dark streaking of Gonçalo Alves, the violet tone of Purpleheart, and the lighter golden look of Garapeira, among others. If you can describe the look you want, there's a good chance we can mill it.
That range isn't just cosmetic. Nearly every species we offer as flooring carries a Janka hardness rating well above red oak (1,290 lbf) and hard maple (1,450 lbf) — the two most common domestic flooring species — which translates directly into better resistance to dents, gouges, and wear in high-traffic rooms and commercial spaces.
As with the rest of our catalog, flooring runs wholesale container volumes for distributors, job-lot orders for commercial builders and flooring contractors, and smaller retail quantities for individual homeowners.
Not limited to two or three species — nearly any Brazilian hardwood we stock can be milled to flooring.
Most species we offer as flooring rate well above red oak and hard maple on the Janka scale.
From subtle and uniform to boldly streaked or tiger-striped — color and grain to match the room, not just the budget.
Container-load wholesale orders, commercial job lots, and smaller retail quantities, all from the same inventory.

Flooring is a milling profile more than a fixed product for us — nearly any species in our catalog can be milled as flooring, from warm, classic choices like Massaranduba and Jatobá to more dramatically figured species like Muiracatiara, Gonçalo Alves, and Purpleheart. Tell us the look and traffic level you're designing for and we'll recommend species from current inventory.
Most of the species we offer as flooring test well above both red oak (1,290 lbf Janka) and hard maple (1,450 lbf Janka) — several run 2 to nearly 3 times harder. In practice that means significantly better resistance to dents and wear in high-traffic rooms, entryways, and commercial spaces.
In most cases, yes. Because we draw from our full species catalog rather than one or two dedicated flooring species, we can match a wide range of looks — deep and uniform, warm reddish-brown, or boldly figured — depending on current inventory. Send us a reference photo or describe the look and we'll suggest species.
Available thicknesses and tongue-and-groove profiles vary by species and current inventory. Tell us the species you're interested in and your project scope and we'll confirm what's in stock.
Yes — we supply wholesale container volumes to distributors, job-lot orders to commercial builders and flooring contractors, and smaller retail quantities for individual rooms and homes.
Tell us the look you're after, square footage, and timeline — wholesale, commercial, or retail — and we'll recommend species and confirm current availability.
